Lucky Farm Bonanza review
BGaming moved its pay-anywhere format to a farm in 2022. Fruit, vegetables and farm animals replace the card ranks many slots rely on, and there is not a single letter or number among the symbols. The rules underneath are compact: symbols are counted across the whole screen, winners clear and the board refills, and the free spins bring in multipliers whose values are added up before they touch the win.
Counting, clearing, refilling
A result here depends on totals, not on lines. Once the reels stop, the game looks at how many of each symbol are visible anywhere, and that count sets the payout. Where the symbols sit makes no difference.
Whenever a payout forms, its symbols are removed. Whatever is left drops to the bottom and new symbols fall in from the top. BGaming says this repeats with no limit for as long as fresh combinations keep appearing, so a single paid spin may produce a whole run of results. The balance is updated only when the final refill triggered by that spin has finished.
The farm's free spins
Scatters are counted the same way as other symbols, anywhere on screen. A set of 4 starts 10 free spins, 5 starts 20, and 6 start 30. Landing 3 scatters while the round is running adds 5 spins to the total.
The free spins are the only time the multiplier symbol can appear, which makes this round the centre of the game. A run of refills that picks up even two multipliers can turn a modest chain into a much larger result, while a chain with none pays exactly what the symbols are worth.
Multiplier symbol
Each one takes a random value somewhere between 2x and 100x as it lands, and it stays put while the refills continue. When the chain ends, every multiplier on screen is added together, and the combined figure multiplies the whole chain's win. Two small values can therefore add up to something more useful than either alone.
Optional extras: Chance x2 and Buy Bonus
Two paid options sit outside the spin itself. They exclude each other, so only one can be in use at a time.
Chance x2
For a slightly higher bet, the base game gives more opportunities to reach the free spins. It is switched off whenever Buy Bonus is active, so the two are never combined.
Buy Bonus
Pays a set price, shown above the button, to start the free spins straight away. Raising the bet raises that price automatically, and the button is greyed out while a bonus is in progress. It shortens the wait, but every purchase is a large single stake.
Price and potential
Lucky Farm Bonanza has a single listed RTP of 95.97%. The difference to 100%, the house edge, is 4.03%, so a long run of play keeps roughly $40.30 out of each $1,000 put in. Shorter runs of a hundred spins average $0.81 at $0.20, $4.03 at $1 and $20.15 at $5.
The volatility rating is High. No max win is stored in our catalogue; BGaming's FAQ states a maximum payout of up to 15,000 times the bet, which we report as the studio's claim. With the multipliers locked to the free spins, the base game alone is unlikely to come close to that figure.
The Easter edition and other Bonanza titles
Lucky Farm Bonanza Easter, released the same year, shares the 95.97% RTP and the High label. BGaming's 2022 catalogue has several other Bonanza-named games with nearly identical numbers: Clover Bonanza also at 95.97%, Alchemist Bonanza, Pin-up Bonanza and Wild West Bonanza at 96%, and Aztec Magic Bonanza at 96.11%, all rated High. On numbers alone, the gaps between them are small.
Pros
- Symbols pay anywhere and refill without a limit on each spin
- Free spin multipliers from 2x to 100x are added together per chain
- Up to 30 free spins from 6 scatters
- Free official demo available
Cons
- Multipliers only appear in the free spins
- The 15,000x top payout comes from studio copy, not from our catalogue
Verdict
Lucky Farm Bonanza puts a farmyard skin on a clear set of rules: pay-anywhere counting, unlimited refills, and free spins where multipliers of 2x to 100x are summed across a chain. Chance x2 and Buy Bonus give some control over how the bonus is reached. The RTP is 95.97% and volatility is High, so budget for the 4.03% house edge and start with the free demo.
