Limbo XY review
Limbo XY reduces a round to two inputs: how much you bet and which multiplier you are aiming for. BGaming, which calls it a crypto game, released it in 2023 and says the appeal is simplicity paired with high payouts, since the target is entirely your choice. The rest of the screen is about information and automation: a win chance, a profit figure and a set of autoplay limits. This review covers what the studio describes and what it leaves out.
The two choices
Every round starts with a bet amount and a target multiplier. A higher target means a bigger payout if the round succeeds. The studio says high payouts are reachable precisely because the target is yours to set.
The text we have does not explain how the result of a round is produced or what exactly counts as reaching the target. We therefore describe only what the studio states, and the free demo is the best place to watch a round resolve.
Numbers shown on screen
Two read-outs help you see what a setting means before you commit.
Win chance
Shows the chance of a win at the current target multiplier. Moving the target changes the figure, so the display ties the multiplier you pick to how likely that choice is to succeed.
Profit on win
In Manual mode this shows the winning amount at the current parameters, so the payout of a successful round is visible before it is played.
Autoplay settings
Autoplay carries five controls. Number of bets chooses how many rounds the run lasts. Two of the controls set what happens to the stake after each result, and two set when the run stops by itself.
On win and On loss
Each lets you choose the bet change after that result in Autoplay: leave the bet unchanged or increase it. They change the size of the stake from round to round. They do not change the odds of any round.
Stop on profit and Stop on loss
Stop on profit ends the run once a chosen winning amount is reached. Stop on loss ends it once a chosen loss amount is reached. These are budget limits, and setting a loss limit is a way to cap what a session can cost.
What the numbers say
The RTP on record is 97%, a house edge of 3%, which is about $30 lost per $1,000 wagered over a long run. For 100 rounds the average cost is $0.60 at a $0.20 bet, $3 at $1 and $15 at $5, which is $500 wagered.
Our catalogue has no volatility label and no max win. BGaming's page states a maximum multiplier of 10,000x of the bet, and we pass that on as the studio's statement. The text does not say whether the 97% differs with the target you choose.
Each round is random and independent. A higher or lower target, or an increase in stake after a loss, does not change the house edge, and no setting here is a method for winning.
Pros
- Win chance is displayed for the current target multiplier
- Autoplay has stop-on-profit and stop-on-loss limits
- Studio states a top multiplier of 10,000x
- Free official demo available
Cons
- The available text does not explain how a round is resolved
- No volatility label or max win in the catalogue; 10,000x is studio copy only
- Autoplay can raise the stake after a win or a loss, which increases the amount wagered
Verdict
Limbo XY is a minimal target-and-bet game with helpful read-outs and sensible autoplay limits. Its listed RTP is 97%, a house edge of 3%, and the studio quotes a 10,000x top multiplier that the catalogue does not carry. Use the loss limit if you run autoplay, and try the demo first, because the available text leaves the mechanics of a round to be seen on screen.
