The Good Farmer review

Cornfields, hard work and a tornado on the horizon: The Good Farmer sets its Yggdrasil slot in the American Midwest, and the weather is the trigger. When six or more eggs land, a Hold & Respin round begins, gold eggs fall, and doors above the reels open onto prizes. It was released in 2025, is rated Medium and is recorded with three RTP versions, from 96.1% down to 90.5%.

Tornado Alley and the egg trigger

The studio describes the game as a farm story with a storm in it. When the wind picks up and six or more EGGS land, the Hold & Respin feature is unleashed. The text we have does not give the grid size, the number of paylines or the number of respins, so we do not quote any.

Once the round begins, GOLD EGGS land on the reels. Their arrival unlocks doors above the reels, and each door hides a different reward. The studio calls the doors mysterious, so what is behind each one is not shown until it opens.

What is behind the doors

Three kinds of reward are listed. They work on the prize values attached to the eggs, so the round is about adding up and improving those values.

Prize Collection

All visible values are gathered for an instant payout. This is the cash-in step of the round: whatever prizes are showing at that moment are paid together.

Prize Upgrades

Existing rewards are boosted to higher values. An upgrade is worth most when it lands on prizes that are already large, since it raises what a later collection can pay.

Extra Eggs

More EGGS carrying prizes are added. Each extra egg gives the collection more to count, which is why the round can build up over time.

Three versions, three costs

The catalogue records RTP versions of 96.1%, 94% and 90.5%, with house edges of 3.9%, 6% and 9.5%. Per $1,000 wagered, that is an average cost of $39, $60 and $95. A 100-spin session at $0.20 costs $0.78 at the headline version and $1.90 at the lowest. At $1 the costs are $3.90 and $9.50, and at $5 they are $19.50 and $47.50.

No max win is listed in the catalogue. The studio's page shows a banner with a max multiplier of ten thousand times the stake. We state both and attribute each: the catalogue publishes no figure, and the studio banner gives ten thousand.

Medium volatility peers

Gold is all Mine 10K WAYS, Juicy Jelly Thunder Ways and Ramesses Gold 10K WAYS each list 96.1% and a Medium rating, all from 2025. 3 Wonders Monster Pays, 3 Wonders Zoo and Aztec GigaBlox list 96% with the same rating. Their RTPs match or sit close to the headline version of The Good Farmer, so the 94% and 90.5% versions would cost more than any of them.

Pros

  • A Hold & Respin round with three clear reward types behind the doors
  • Medium volatility at the headline 96.1% RTP
  • Prize Upgrades and Extra Eggs build the round up as it runs

Cons

  • Three RTP versions, down to 90.5% with a 9.5% house edge
  • The catalogue lists no max win, and the studio text gives no grid or spin count
  • No official free demo listed in our records

Verdict

The Good Farmer is a Hold & Respin game with a storm theme, a Medium rating and a headline 96.1% RTP. The three door rewards are easy to follow, but the studio text leaves out the grid and the spin count. The lower versions matter: at 90.5% the average cost is $95 per $1,000. Check which version is in play before choosing a stake, and treat the game as paid entertainment.
