Gods of Troy review
Gods of Troy runs on a ten-spin cycle. A counter above the reels numbers each spin from 1 to 10, Golden Shields leave Golden Wreaths behind as the cycle goes on, and on the tenth spin every wreath becomes a wild. Red Tiger dates the release to 18 August 2022. The free spins work differently again, with a wheel deciding how many spins and how many roaming wilds you get.
Grid and basics
The reels form a 5x4 grid with 30 lines. Red Tiger lists a stake range of €0.10 to €50.00 and a hit frequency of 13.98%, which means roughly one spin in seven returns something. That is a low rate, and it fits a game that holds much of its value back for the tenth spin and the bonus.
The ten-spin cycle
Golden Shields can land on any spin. Each one leaves a Golden Wreath on its position, and the wreath stays locked there until the counter reaches 10. A shield landing on a tile that already holds a wreath copies that wreath to another random tile that does not have one yet.
On the tenth spin, all wreaths on the grid turn into wilds at once. The more shields that land during spins 1 to 9, the more wilds the tenth spin starts with. The counter then begins again.
This gives the game a visible rhythm. Spins early in a cycle mostly build the wreath layout, and the payoff is concentrated in one spin out of ten. The progress is on screen, so it is always clear how many wreaths are waiting.
Golden Shields and Wreaths
Shields leave locked wreaths; a shield on an existing wreath duplicates it elsewhere. Wreaths hold their place until spin 10 of the cycle, when every one of them becomes a wild for that spin.
Troy Spins
Three or more Troy Spins scatters anywhere start the bonus. They cannot land on the tenth spin of the cycle. During the round the shields and wreaths are switched off. Instead, a fixed number of wilds sits on the reels throughout, moving to new positions on each free spin, though one may occasionally stay where it was.
A wheel at the start decides both the spin count and the number of wilds, and the scatter count sets the ceiling. With 3 scatters the wheel can award up to 15 spins and 10 wilds. With 4 it can award up to 25 spins and 12 wilds, and with 5 up to 50 spins and 15 wilds. Each scatter that lands during the round adds one more spin.
The figures
Red Tiger publishes one RTP: 95.74%. The house edge is 4.26%, which over a long period comes to about $42.60 per $1,000 wagered. In 100-spin terms, the expected cost is $0.85 at $0.20, $4.26 at $1 and $21.30 at $5.
Volatility is rated Medium and the max win is 6,157x the stake, equal to $1,231.40 at $0.20, $6,157 at $1 and $30,785 at $5.

Closer to the original's numbers are Dice Dice Dice at 95.74% with a 5,497x cap, Egypt Clusterbuster at 95.71% with 6,656x and Cannonball Cash at 95.72% with 7,465x, all Medium. Pros
- Wreath build-up and the tenth-spin wild conversion are easy to follow
- Troy Spins with up to 50 spins and 15 roaming wilds from 5 scatters
- Medium volatility with a 6,157x max win
Cons
- 95.74% RTP, about $42.60 per $1,000 wagered
- A 13.98% hit frequency means most spins return nothing
- No free demo on record
Verdict
Gods of Troy turns a simple counter into its main feature: wreaths gather for nine spins and become wilds on the tenth. Troy Spins add a wheel that sets the number of spins and roaming wilds. Volatility is Medium and the cap is 6,157x, but the 95.74% RTP leaves a 4.26% house edge. Expect most spins to return nothing and budget for the 4.26% house edge.
